From the Cedars of the Himalaya

A sacred wood with centuries of quiet ceremony behind it.

- Cedrus deodara grows high in the western Himalaya, where its name comes from the Sanskrit devadāru — "wood of the gods".

- The fragrant heartwood has been used for centuries in temple construction, traditional Ayurvedic practice and meditative incense.

- Steam-distilled from the aged wood, the oil carries a deep, balsamic warmth that mellows beautifully as it dries down.

SAFETY

Dillution guideline

  • For topical use, dilute to 1–3% in a carrier oil such as jojoba, argan or sweet almond (roughly 6–18 drops per 30 ml).

  • Patch test

Always patch test: apply a small amount of the diluted blend to the inner forearm and wait 24 hours before broader use.

  • Children

Use with caution in children over 3; diffuse intermittently in well-ventilated rooms and avoid direct skin application on infants.

  • Pregnancy

If pregnant or nursing, consult a qualified healthcare professional before use.

  • Pets

Cedarwood can be problematic for cats and small pets — diffuse only in ventilated spaces and keep animals able to leave the room.

  • Photosensitivity

Not typically associated with photosensitivity.

  • Ingestion

Do not ingest unless under the guidance of a qualified aromatherapy or medical professional.

  • Storage

Store tightly closed in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep out of reach of children.

Unusual

After the first sniff I was unsure; unusual, different from the cedar I know from other sellers. But then the scent developed and the cedar won me over. I bought it again.

Unusual sweet scent

To me, its scent resembles coconut with pine needles, which is not particularly appealing to me. I bought it for its regenerative effects on the skin and its diuretic effects, which I am currently testing. Combined with citronella, I can also tolerate it in a diffuser.

Personal scent tasting

I have been using IneVita essential oils for some time and I am very satisfied with them. Their quality and long-lasting, charming fragrance has captivated more than one person around me. Thank you for the opportunity to have a personal scent tasting of the oils, where you can smell more than a hundred different scents and find out which one is right for you. Another plus of the scent tasting is the automatic 15% discount applied to the entire purchase. The pleasant, comfortable setting is complemented by the care and willingness of the owner, who spent a full four hours with me, advising me and blending the right essential oil for me. :) I think anyone interested in their health, overall well-being and the quality of oils will be extremely satisfied. I wholeheartedly recommend it!
