Gardenia Absolute is obtained from the blossoms of Gardenia jasminoides, an evergreen shrub admired for its intensely fragrant white flowers. A specialised extraction process captures the flower’s rich and complex aromatic profile.
Its scent is opulent, creamy and deeply floral, with fresh green nuances and a distinctive sensual character. Gardenia Absolute brings elegance, richness and complexity to fine fragrances and natural perfume compositions.
In perfumery, it is primarily used as a heart note. It pairs beautifully with Jasmine, Rose, Neroli, Sweet Orange, Sandalwood and Bergamot. Even a small amount can add depth and a luxurious white-floral dimension to a composition.
Gardenia flowers have long been associated with elegance, love and romance, making their aroma particularly suited to wedding fragrances, candles and compositions created for special occasions.
Because the blossoms yield only a small amount of aromatic material, the extraction process is delicate and labour-intensive. Gardenia Absolute is therefore considered a rare and precious perfumery ingredient.
